Oh wait. No one is forced to have them are they? Us liberals just want the choice to be there for people who may find themselves in the unfortunate situation where they need an abortion.
In fact, us liberals don’t “love” abortion. We have no agenda to ensure that as many abortions take place as possible. An abortion means that prior more preferable means of birth control have failed, and an abortion should be prevented at all costs, it’s a last resort.

Exactly. Pro-choice means I support your choice to HAVE a baby as much as I support your choice NOT to have a baby.

Abortion is a last resort. Preventing abortion is a multi-faceted process. You can’t just outlaw abortion and be done with it. you need to start at the bottom with sex education and access to contraception.

The first poster’s logic is flawed. Think how many scientists we’ve lost to abortion? Ya…think of how many terrorists and criminals we’ve GAINED by NOT giving someone an abortion. That’s a very weak argument in either direction.

Good point. Most of all, we want the choice to be with the woman, not the government. It’s ironic that most people who want the government to decide would be horrified if they had to run their own medical decisions past the government.

EVEN THOUGH I CONSIDER MYSELF MODERATE TO CONSERVATIVE, I AM PRO CHOICE. BUT I AM AGAINST LATE TERM ABORTIONS UNLESS THE MOTHER’S PHYSICAL LIFE IS IN DANGER AND THERE IS ACTUALLY VERY FEW CASES OF THAT HAPPENING. I don’t recall hearing anybody say the loved abortions. The only people forced to have them are Chinese women who are affected by their country’s one child policy.

Abortion is choice women make based on a lack of responsibility in most cases. I don’t think abortion, however, should be the last link in the chain of being responsible for ones actions, before or after the act. But for me, hell, I’d rather have my tax dollars paying for abortions instead of them being used to support unwanted and unloved kids who turn into societies burden as adults. I know a lot of people whose mother should have opted for abortion.I’m certain liberals don’t “love” abortions, most of the liberals I know simply don’t want people to be held accountable for their actions.
