Lizzy: I need some help with cooking measurements, please.?
Okay, so I am making some mexican deviled eggs tonight as a side dish.
Here is the original recipe:
“8 hard boiled eggs
1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup of mayonnaise
1/4 cup of salsa
2 TBS chopped green onions
1 TBS sour cream”
I want to use 12 eggs instead of 8, so what would the rest of the ingredients measure up to?

Wow…half of 8 is 4…8+4=12. One and a half times the recipe.Answer by Paul L
If you want to use a dozen eggs instead of 8, you will have to increase the rest of the ingredients by 50% (half). so, 1/2 of a 1/2 cup of cheese would be a total of 3/4 of a cup.
For the rest, here are the adjusted measurements:
3/8 cup mayonnaise
3/8 cup salsa
3 TBS chopped green onions
1 1/2 TBS sour cream.
Good luck
