: I need a steak/meat recipe to go with shells stuffed w/ crab…?
I am planning on cooking a romantic dinner tomorrow night. I found a great recipe-“Maryland Crab Shells.” I would like some sort of meat dish to go with it, nothing on the heavy side. I would prefer something fancy. Please give me some suggestions and also, how to prepare it. Thanks for helping out 🙂

What about filet mignon? Or a marinated london broil? For filets, I like to just season them with salt and fresh cracked pepper. The meat is so good it doesn’t need anything else. Sometimes I do melt some bleu cheese over it after searing the filet in a hot pan. For london broil, you need to marinate it as long as possible (i like mesquite marinade) broil or grill and slice thin on an angle against the grain. Remember to always let the meat rest after cooking before cutting. Good luck with your dinner!
do something simple like filet mignon wrapped with bacon. a nice combo with the crab. You could make a crab/mushroom based sauce to tie the two together.
Render some bacon in a hot pan until cripsy and the fat has come out. Add mushrooms and cook until beginning to brown. Add a few teaspoons of flour and cook over low heat for a few min until lightly browned. Add some beef broth or shrimp broth slowly, and bring to a low boil to thicken. Pour in a dash of cream, some salt and pepper, and add crabmeat at the last minute. Chopped fresh parsley to finish it off.
Answer by Terry SIf you decide to do something on the grill (steaks, pork chops, boneless chicken breasts), and need help with how long to grill it (or what time to start grilling), you might try the cookout calculator at charcoalbob.com.
