Six_Of_The_Seven_Deadly_Sins: I need a recipe for a pumpkin pie that involves cool whip and a graham cracker pie crust? Detailed steps pls!!?
Okay, so here’s the deal. I’m having Thanksgiving with my boyfriend this year and everyone is bringing something. They wanted me to bring a pumpkin pie so I agreed. There’s this one pumpkin pie that my ex boyfriend’s mom made once that involves cool whip in the mixture and it makes the pie really light and fluffy. Problem is though that this is my EX’S mom and I’m not going to just call her up and be like “Hey, I know I left your son right after his 21st birthday and really made him depressed and stuff, but um, can I have your famous pumpkin pie recipe???” It just doesn’t work like that. (I also must note that I had a good reason for dropping him though, he cheated one time far too many, and didn’t treat me right. Birthday or not it’s just not fair.) So anyways, I bought a 16 ounce tub of Cool Whip, a 29 ounce can of pumpkin crap[, a 3.4 ounce box of Jell-o pumpkin spice flavored instant pudding and pie filling, a 1.12 ounce thing of pumpkin pie spice, and a 15 inch graham cracker pie crust. I don’t know if there’s anything else I need but I HAVE A FEELING that I’m going to at least need those items undoubtedly. So here’s the kicker, what’s the recipe and how do I make this? Do I need anymore ingredients? Do I need to bake it? And also, is a graham cracker crust the right kind of crust for this pie? I know I sound like someone who’s never cooked in my life but I swear to God I’m an excellent cook! I can cook almost all American food, many Filipino delicacies, loads of the more complicated Italian dishes and bakes, and amazing French cuisine (have even cooked escargot!!) but I’ve never made desert food in my life!! I just don’t eat sweets!! I hate them!! With a passion!! They make me feel sick. I think I’ve baked cookies like three or four times MAYBE but that’s it. So please help me if you know this recipe or can suggest another one that uses the Cool Whip. Ten points to the answer that I end up using. Oh, and please no links to other sites because I already did a massive online search for the recipe and I hate how many recipes out there aren’t very specific. I’ve never made any desert food from scratch like this before so I need to know the specifics so I don’t screw up and give my boyfriends family a rancid tasting Thanksgiving dessert!!

Here’s a link to one of my pages on my Thanksgiving day website. I use this recipe all the time.
If you have a pumpkin that you can cook and prepare, more so the better.
Check out the other pages too. Hope you like it.
