johnmathers12: I know sex causes attachment from pheromones released during coitus, but where can I learn about it?
I’m curious to know what this pheromone is called and more about this process.
OK, it is oxytocin, which is a hormone, not a pheremone. Thanks everyone!

Look up oxytocin. That is the hormone released that causes increased feelings of attachment and trust. It’s very interesting and oxytocin does a lot of things in the brain. It’s released during breastfeeding and labor as well.Answer by xt.vee_gun

Pheromones are scents given off which cause an attraction by the opposite sex. I really don’t believe that it has ever been proven that humans give off any kind of pheromones. Pheromones are not given off during coitus but attract members of the opposite sex for the purpose of sexual activity for the preservation of the species.Answer by gldjns
Pheromones supposedly are responsible for sexual attraction. They are probably more useful in the animal kingdom than they are in humans, although there are pills, potions and perfumes that purportedly secrete pheromones to attract people of the opposite sex. I suppose you could learn more about it on the web, but I don’t believe a pheromone is called anything but a pheromone, and in my opinion, the process is more mental than it is physical. I once had a perfume that had pheromones in it, and it was the most obnoxious scent I ever experienced. I ended up pouring it down the drain. I think it may have had bug killer in it…..
