Sel: I have found a jewish antique in Libya, is it possible to sell it?
I have found a jewish scripture (in hebrew). It is said to be one of the books of Juddiash (i dont know which since im muslim). Also have found a pot/vase type thing with it, during excavation of an area near a historical site (which is called Leptis Magna).
After doing some tests and matching, we have estimated it is around 5,000 years old!! Since this is Libya, there are very few laws regarding this, how does one find a buyer for such a unique item??
As a muslim, i really do value this item, because Jewish people are people of the “book” (despite what you here in politics today). Anyhow, i just want to make a point that i respect the scripture, but i want to know if anyone knows the legallity of selling this and where to buy a buyer for this?
Well date is not verified 100% as it was done by an Italian company. It is strange how some people on answers website are so stuck up and unhelpful. why are you on answers website when you dont even want to answer questions?!
anyhow i hope others can help

That’s interesting, your found a Jewish document that was written about 2000 years before Abraham was born.
Where I come from being stuck up is the greatest virture, bless your heart.

You probably do not have a document that is 5000 years old, but certainly may have something of great value nevertheless.
The two most widely known auction houses of antiquities are Christie’s and Sotheby’s.
Go to the web addresses listed below. Pick a site and invest in a telephone call. Send digital photos of your finds to the email address of each place and ask if there is any interest.
You will be guided on how to offer your property for sale.
