abbbijo: I have a job interview at Arby’s tomorrow should I…?
When I get there do I just walk in and say “Hello, I have a job interview” or what??
Also, on the application it asked me what is my greatest achievement. But I left that blank because I couldn’t think of anything at the moment, and I forgot to go back an answer it before giving them the application. Well anyway, the only thing I can really think is stuff like Honor Roll in High School, or the Dean’s list my first semester at college, which I don’t really think of as “great” accomplishments.
Actually, what I really think my greatest accomplishment is is becoming agnostic. (my parents are fundamental Christians, they don’t want me to even have a job or go to college, so if I was still a fundamental Christian like them, my life would be entirely different). But I’m thinking that that might not be such a great thing to tell them in an interview. So should I just say something like the Dean’s list?
I’ve never had an interview before, and I’m a bit scared.

Its Arby’s..dont stress…they hire anybody lol For ur greatest achievements i would not mention anything about religion and beliefs…huge no no. Being on the deans list is something you should be proud of. Sounds like you need to give yourself more credit. When you walk in just say hi and be very friendly and let them know you are there for an interview. Its not formal or anything. You dont have to act like its a job your going to be at for the rest of your life. Its only fast food, trust me, I know….
Walk in and say ” I am here to fill the ________ position. And as far as accomplishments, depending on the job you are interviewing for you can tailor your response. My biggest acomplishment is being promoted to editor for the yearbook staff. Or whatever pertains to the job.Answer by Proud Vegan
Yes, when you walk in, smile, and say “Hello, I am here for an interview.” They will go get the manager or the person who is going to interview you.
For your biggest achievement, I would tell them about being on the Dean’s list for your first semester at College, Make sure to elaborate and tell them why you think that is a big accomplishment. For example say: “I was on the Dean’s list for my first semester of College. I feel that it is a great accomplishment because it took so much hard work; it’s always nice to get recognized for all my hard work and dedication.
It doesn’t matter that you do not truly feel that it is your best accomplishment because I am sure they will be impressed that you made the Dean’s list.
*You could mention your honor roll in high school as well.
They also are likely to ask what your strengths and weaknesses are and what you can bring to their company. So make sure you know what to say. Don’t be scared, just relax. Be friendly and smile. I had my first interview today (at JC Penney) and I got the job on the spot 🙂
