Pixie: How to ween a kitten off a dog?
We adopted a kitten about three months back and she was taken from her mother too early. Kitten wouldn’t eat very much soft food. Our 9 month old pug had just finished going into her first heat cycle and allowed the kitten to nurse on her. At first it was cute and we were relieved to know she was going to make it. Now kitten has been eating dry food for over a month and still nursing on our pug. What should I do?
The pug is giving milk out of two of her nips.

nurse what? if your dog was simply in heat and did not have puppies there would be no milk. im guessing she just using it as a binky so to speak. just pull her away when you see it happening.
