2Blunt4U: How to turn off this “found new hardware” message on the PC?
I’m sick of it popping up every time that I boot up! It comes up twice too. I have to hit ‘cancel’ twice to get it to go off. On one of my computers I installed some camera software. And it came on that day, and kept coming on. I have removed the disc, logged on in ‘safe mode’, did a ‘msconfig’, scanned the computer for malware and spyware, and I still can’t find the culprit. What’s up techies?

Certain software can have compatibility issues with with operating system, causing them to continually discover new hardware, even though it installed successfully before. Webcams are big culprits, and certain USB dongles do it too. I would suggest checking that the software you are using is compatible with your operating system.
It is looking for the drivers for some sort of new hardware that you have attached or installed in the computer. Open Device Manager and look for the Yellow ! it will tell you what the hardware is, and then you can get the drivers for it, install them, and the problem will go away.Answer by Mister Answerman
Every time you cancel it, it has to go through the process next time you boot. Just let it load up, it only takes a few seconds or so. Every time you attach a device, like a camera or usb device, the same dialog will appear. When a device is attached that dialog will appear and also subsequent dialogs until all the drivers have been loaded. Some USB devices require different sorts of drivers and that dialog could appear up to four or five times until all the device drivers have been set.
