Lauren: How to take a practice SAT exam exactly as it will be like in the real exam?
What would you recommend doing in order to simulate a practice SAT exam as if it were the real exam as closely as possible? Thanks!

SAT mock exam
It’s great that you want to take a practice SAT! A practice SAT is a great first step towards preparing for the official SAT. By taking it in a proctored environment (like a high school) you can simulate the actual SAT as closely as possible. This will allow you to understand exactly the type of atmosphere you will face when you take the SAT.
If you plan to take one at home, I would try to get a friend or relative to monitor the time for you. This way, you can focus solely on the questions and not the clock. The amount of time allowed for each section should be included in the test booklet.
At Revolution Prep, we hold thousands of mock exams in local high schools across the country every year. Visit www.Revolutionprep.com to see if we are holding a mock SAT in your area. If we are not, simply give us a call and we can send a mock exam to your house. We will grade your exam and provide you with a full detailed score report. The score report will allow you to really identify your areas of strength and weakness on the test.
In addition, Revolutionprep.com has live online webinars, tutorials, flashcards, and plenty of other resources that will help you prep for the SAT!
Feel free to give me a call at 310-593-6831 or email me at [email protected] if you have further questions regarding the SAT or any aspect of the college admission process.
