Every day muslims are being discriminated against in the media, they are being called terrorist and killers. Not all muslims are terrorist. What can be done to stop this discrimination? How can the media stop this or be forced to stop discriminating against muslims and islam?

You can’t, the weak minded fools will continue to believe the media and the media wants the average person to hate as many people as possible.

Those useless primates who hate Islam just want to hate people and want a group to blame. If someone who is dark skinned does something bad, these people are going to hate everyone with dark skin, likewise if a Muslim follows a horrible cult-like terrorist agenda, they’re going to hate everyone who is Muslim.

Here are some statistics that may have something to do with “discrimination” against Islam. If most are not terrorists, why can Muslims kill ten doctors helping poor people in Afghanistan and no one turns them in?

Well I’m going to be honest…you can’t stop this. Since September 11, 2001, Muslims will be looked at that way. We know that all Muslims are not like this, but people always hear that Muslims do not like our freedoms. Wtf. Our Freedoms! We don’t wanna take away your way of living so why should you take away ours? Plus when people don’t know all the facts we are going to believe of what the little we know.

If Muslims themselves learn to keep a low profile and learn how to get on with people of other religions and respect their faith’s it would help.
If they get upset about women who are condemned to be stoned to death.
When they stop saying theirs is a religion of peace after a suicide bomber blows up a market full of innocent Muslims.
When they stop mentioning the crusades and give back the Cathedral of Saint Sophia to the Christians and cease calling it the Blue Mosque.
When they allow Muslims to convert to other religions freely without having the death sentence issued against them.
When Muslims admit that the Koran has injunctions to kill the infidel or Jews, and that they don’t intend to follow this.
When some of these things are out in the open and discussed by people without being threatened or subjugated to threats.
When some of these various things are addressed by Muslims and explained to us in a satisfactory way perhaps things will improve.

I don’t think there is anything that can be done. The media portrays some of the terrorists as living a normal wholesome life in the US and then all of a sudden gets an order to do a suicide mission. I have seen it on the news and have been frightened myself. Not too long ago they showed a young man on the news who was living in the US and now he is one of the high ranking members of Al-Qaida. It’s scary. Often times I wonder if some of the people I come across could be someone who is waiting for an order to kill. You have Christian leaders who talk about violent language in the Quran. I know it may be frustrating for many muslims who have none of these things on their minds but they also must understand the fears of others who have seen and heard things on the news media stations that portray them as violent and ready to kill at a moment’s notice. Those images have been burned into the minds of a lot of americans. I, personally, am willing to change any negative thoughts that I have if I am given the opportunity to speak with a muslim. I don’t know any personally though.

you can never stop racism.. a lot of races go through this not just muslims.

as long as violence occurs in the middle east, as long as their is terrorism, there will be hatred against muslims.. this is the society we live in unfortuantely.

I wish it were different, I just feel like it is going to get worse. I hate that terrorists have made it so hard for good muslims living in the western nations to practice Islam.. they will have to spend the rest of our lives defending just practicing it.

Moslem terrorists performed their deadly acts with full justification from the Koran and the Hadiths. If you want people to stop criticizing Islam, here’s what has to be done:

Edit out all the horrible bits from the Koran and the Hadiths. Here are some examples of what should go:
Kill non-believers
Lie to non-believers
Special taxes for non-believers
Inferior legal status of women and non-believers
Brutal punishments
Mohammed’s marriage to a 6 year old
Mohammed’s approval of slavery
Jihad

Then the Moslem clergy should announce that those removed pieces had actually been put there by Satan in order to confuse the faithful.

Then Islam can say it is the religion of peace with a straight face, and that the terrorists are not acting in accordance with Islam.

Which puts you up against other Muslims, something your Koran is not too keen about.

Thus you have the genteel, soft-spoken Muslims on one side, & the ‘mad bomber’ type on the other.

Well, Semir, I can only speak for my own country, where the one solution would be that young kids of arab or islamic descent would stop harassing people in the street.

They commit: harassment of women, violence against gays, harassment of jewish people, pestering of other kids, violence in groups…

If you could stop THAT, then the anti-islam party would loose all its votes.

How to stop discrimination against Islam?
Good question. I mean I’m just an ordinary Muslim at home studying my final year in college hoping to find a place in university next year if god will allow it. How could I alone stop the worldwide discrimination against Islam? I have no control over what is displayed on the media and all the hardships faced by Muslim’s all around the world. I could give an international speech if I was given the chance but who would listen? I’m sure many Muslim’s are just like me, frustrated and yet powerless in their positions as regular citizens of whatever nation it is they reside. The fact is I, like so many other Muslim’s don’t have the answer. The only thing I can do is seek Allah’s help and hope for the best.

If there is any hope for Muslim’s in this modern world then indeed Allah should be the one you turn to for help. Who could provide you with a better answer than he? Surely not answers website. Here you will only be exposed to meaningless disputes and possibly offensive remarks.

I guess if all the Muslim’s around the world unite then this may be the first step in an incredible journey to accomplish a peaceful life for all Muslim’s. After all, one or so billion Muslim’s is more than a few.
