: How to have a father sing all his rights away from being a father?
I was wondering how would my partner go about and get full custody and making the father of her kid sing all his rights away?? She has a boy that is 15 months and I guess the father hasent once came by to see him nor try to get in contact. From my understanding he has no care in the world to be his father… And also he dose pay child support.

Once your partner odopts him and takes full custody the original father will not have pay childsupport I’m sure he’ll go for it without a problem

he can sing all he wants to….it’s not truly your business to have him sign his rights off..if he’s paying child support, he just might want something to do with his child, but may be prevented by either you or your ‘partner’..it has to come from him, or a judge to have the father sign his rights over…nothing to do with you whatsoever…& sounds like she’s already got custody of this child….if something happens to her, the child goes with daddy…

And you know any of this is true, how? It is just as likely that she has been denying him access to the child and he cannot afford an attorney to get his rights enforced as the government does not care is children have a father in their lives when the mother does not want it that way. However, they do provide her with free help to get child support.

I think you have no idea what your talking about and like was stated before maybe there are certain circumstances keeping him from doing more right now. Lawyers are very expensive and the government gives 2 poops about fathers! Here’s an idea think of ways to help the father be more a part of his child’s life rather than taking the easy way and cut him out of it.
