♥ ѕσ¢¢єя ρℓαуєя ♥: How to get the soccer ball from someone while you’re both running without tripping them?
So when I’m playing defense in soccer and I’m chasing someone really hard from the opposing team who has the ball I can never get it. When were running side by side I sometimes try to poke it away from them but they end up tripping over my leg when I try to poke it. Its also too fast to do a pullback or else I’ll probably trip them too. Somebody please help? Thanks!

Defense players must have wide shoulders and good body weight and use their shoulder to move the opposition aside.
the best thing that i do is a nice, clean tackle
you get the move over with
if your caught between wether should i poke or push, you wont react in time
i say go for the clean tackle, nothing dirty
a little shirt pulling wont hurt either…Answer by Lailah Berris

bump em with your arm! lift some weights so you can get the strength to knock people over, even the strongest, biggest players. try not to use your elbow cause that’s illegal. don’t let your leg go out into a position where you can trip them. go 50/50 with them. to the side. if they are in front of you, jockey. wait for them to come, then at the right second, tackle hard and get the ballAnswer by Peter Woo
As explained above, it is a great advantage to have shoulders and weight to shoulder check the opposition slightly. Also, you can look at the players shoulders, chest and sometimes eyes to know what they are going to do and take the ball when they make the move. Finally always keep yourself between the opposition and your goal and keep pressure.Answer by Steven Doubleu
Use your weight to your advantage. Lean into them and try to step into the ball. A clean poke with your foot to get the ball into touch will do fine. You wont get called for a foul if there is some shoving around, but make sure you do not use your arms to push. As soon as your elbows go out and you push like that you will be called. If you get the ball out first, very obviously, and the opposing player still falls you shouldnt be called, however this is risky and depending on the ref he or she may still foul you. Best advise would be to ask your coach.Answer by If it’s lovee<3
