: How to get my cat and dog to get along?
I just got a new dog who is 1 year old, but I have had a cat that is 3 years old. They don’t get along. My dog is currently outdoor and we want him to be an indoor dog and the only thing stopping it is his relationship with our cat. He keeps barking at my cat and my cat, doesn’t really do anything. How can I get them to get along?

My suggestion would be to take your dog and cat to the local community center and have a lock-in with snack, punch and activities for a few hours. They will find common ground to use as a cornerstone to their current relation and excel their friendship.
Tap your dog on the nose/butt it’ll hurt your dogs feelings but also teaches discipline. Not to soft or hard just a tap.Answer by Lindsay Citadel
ok first when you have a cat thats 3 years old it is rearly that they will get along ,you always get a puppy dog when you have cat of 3 years of age, thats a fact the cat is lest scare of the dog that seems like a big monster for the cat ,so the only thing a can tell you is try to let the dog in and spend time with the dog even if the cat doesent like it and if the dog barsk just tell him in a voice that he will sens thats its not okay to barck when he sees the cat and after the wont even botter with the dog,one thing dont try to to take the cat and bring the cat to the dogs face cause it can become a battle.happy easter.
