purrley: How to get an 18month old to smile in a santa photo?
I’m off to get the christmas with santa photo of my 18month old son. I don’t want him to be frightened or freak out on santas knee!

dont just put santa right on his/her face,,,u know what i mean…..let her/him see santa from far away first……then chnaces are she/he will like santa…good luck
Be in the photo with him. You want to associate positive things with santa. Comfort and warmth. You embody thoes things… so be in the photo with him… give him a treat after the photo to show him what a good boy he was for being nice to santa… It’s positive reinforcement. Much as you would do when training a dog. Reward good behavior and positively reinforce it whenever you can.Answer by Shannon
You have to give your baby a chance to get to know santa. Take it slowly, and everything should be allright. Taking his favouraite toy should also help GOOD LUCK!!!Answer by Nic W
i took my chn to see santa everytime we went shopping and when i thought they were ready i took them to get there foto. you just need to let them warm up slowly, take there timeAnswer by Bouvier

With my baby i put her on his lap facing me and never let her see him-like walk up to Santa with his back facing Santa, sit him down and start making faces and try to keep his attention on you and do things that make him laugh! You could bring bubbles or something, if you have help it is easier.
