How should I ask my mom to let me get a belly button piercing? All of my friends have one and my mom is kinda strict on piercings. But, I really want one and deserve one for all my hard work.

my friends parents are strict kinda
but she does stuff and they dont know
and she asked her mom for a belly button peircing
and they said sure she got it when she was 14
so i guess you can try

Just ask her for one. But I’m assuming from your user name that you’re a swimmer so you will want to think about that too. Just keep asking her. That’s how I eventually got my mom to cave for one of my piercings

Well, anyway, just because all your friends have one doesn’t mean you need one. If you know your mom doesn’t like them, you should respect her wishes. When you’re 18, you can get it done by yourself.

“Mom i really want to talk to you about something so please dont talk and let me finish before you say anything about how you feel towards this ok.”-take a deep breath and smile-“Well ive been looking this up and i think a belly piercing would look very cute on me. It will not harm me in any way cause i will take full responsibility on cleaning it the right amount of times asides the hygiene it dosent look bad on girls my age and alot of girls have them. Its really in style and i think it would look super cute im willing to research the best piercing parlors in town and affordable of course and try my best to pay half.” If she says no dont scream whine or beg. My preferable answer would be that I suggest you ask her nicely in a good and mature way what the adult does.

do say, Mom, I would like to have a belly button piercing please and I will take extreme responsibility to look after my belly button piercing so it won’t get infection.

Also the cheapest way is to buy the item u want for the piercing and it will be cheaper to get it done at the shops but first of all you’ll have to sterilize it so it wont give you an risk of infection.

Take my advice, say it in a good and smart way and if she say no, do something to show your mom that you can take full responsibilities for the belly piercing, like keep up good work in school if you do go to one. Something like that or help your mum around the house and the most important of all is that is not to throw tantrums front of your mom because she’ll think that your not responsible enough to look after your own belly button piercings.

I just got mine pierced, and my mom’s not crazy about piercings either. Belly buttons need to be taken care of to avoid infection. The best thing to do is do a lot of reasearch. Tell her that the procedure is safe, show her sites about the procedure and aftercare. Assure her that you’ll take care of it and that you’ll be responsible.

If she says no the first time then just let it go until you’re 18. It’s worth it, trust me :). Plus, you won’t argue or fight with your mom at all over a belly piercing.
