MindBody: How old do you have to be to get your clitoral hood pierced?
How old do you have to be to get your clitoral hood pierced? I want to get a horizontal clit hood piercing but i’d settle for a vertical one cuz I heard that the horizontal one isn’t for everyone. Does it hurt to get it pierced? I need as much information about it as possible cuz I’m really looking into it. Thank you.

even if you have a parent permission they will not do it if you are underage

Most places require you to be 18. One of my friends got it done with parental permission when she was 15, so it just depends where you get it done. It’s also important to make sure you realllly want it, because it can take away feeling from the area permanently. Just a heads up. =)

I haven’t had this one, but I’ve heard that it really isn’t that bad. I mean the tissue is really very thin. I mean logically, considering the tissue type and thickness, it shouldn’t be any worse than an ear piercing.

nope unlike the person who who said you can get it with parent consent that is wrong you have to be 18 regardless

and any shop that does is asking to get shut down here in arizona i know there is a law that i know others states have to its like exposure of a minor or something like that

You just have to be 18 I believe, but I would take a good long think about it if i were you. I regret getting my belly done in a way. I did that when i was 16 and took it out a couple of years later and its scarred now and a bit discoloured and stretched. I think the clitoral piercing, like any, would scar, and that scar tissue could be very irritible later on in such a sensitive area. It may also be sore when you have sex or get caught on your undies or wahtever. It could also be great though. I guess you will see whether its for you once you get it done, but if you go ahead with it, make sure you choose a piercer you trust and who is qualified, and weigh up the pro’s and cons before you do it 🙂 google is a great tool for research too.

You do hav to be 18 just like a tattoo or anything else.
I hear its awesome walking up the stairs with it.
But a negative thing is it will desensitize the spot.
Nobody wants that for sure! Keep it clean.
Use antibacterial medicated soap.
It WILL swell up and hurt for a week or so.
With all peircings you have to give it time.
Just be careful while you’re letting it heal.
Its not like your going to bump it on anything,
but I’d advise not to irritate it in any way.
I would also suggest not to have sex or
masterbate until it stops swelling and the wound is sealed.

I had mine pierced when I was 18. It was a little pinch nothing to major. I personally think tattoos hurt way worse than piercings. Good Luck & Enjoy It

You do need to be 18 or over. Any practitioner who will do it for you below that age is not to be trusted. It is a god piercing to have, I have the vertical one, I like it a lot because it is quite unusual and it can be your secret unless you want people to know about it!

It hurt me a lot when I had it done, but it only lasted a few seconds. I have a lot of piercings and I can honestly say that one hurt th most! And I can tell you now that if you are doing it because you want to get an orgasm from walking up the stairs, think again. It is nice when licked (sorry!!) but that’s about it. I have it mostly for aesthetic reasons.
