littleG: How much spending money to travel east Asia?
We’re planning to travel for a few months overground from Beijing through Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia. How much spending money do you think we’ll need, including accommodation and travel?
Thanks for any advice!

between £2000 and £3000 for 3 months travel would be a good figure it could be done cheaper but you would not get to do many trips and excursions so you would not enjoy the experience as much if your travelling overland you will need also to go through cambodia or laos to get from vietnam to thailand both these countrys are very cheap to travel
i travelled alone in china for 2 months, vietnam for 1 month and malaysia 1 week from march till june this year. the total cost including all flights from australia return and some internal flights, (total fights 9), meals, transport, trains, ships, fees, hotels/inns (3 star), lots of shopping was AUS $ 8500Answer by Orient Pearl
Really depends on how long you’re going to stay in each place, how much you’re going to spend on shopping, hotels and food. The estimate is somewhere US$ 5,000 – 10,000.
Hong Kong is a must-see destination in Asia, confirmed by a recent CNN poll. It’s also the only tax free city too. Check www.DiscoverHongKong.com Enjoy your stay.
