Mike S: How come some Hotels in Orlando require someone to be 21, and others 18?
I’m going to Universal Studios in March for Vaca. I checked with the on-site hotels, you have to be 21 to rent a room. Some off site hotels also require you to be 21. I finally found a not so nice budget motel but the reviews were horrible. Then I had to call and call and finally found the Comfort Inn Universal Studios Area. I called them and the man told me you have to be 18, So I booked the room. I’m 20 right now. But how come some require 21 and some 18?

The hotels don’t want teens partying and perhaps damaging the rooms…its entirely up to the hotel as to which age they rent to…
I’m 19 and I got a hotel for a weekend on Disney property for me and my friend.
The age requirement is 18, but hotels have the right to raise it to whatever they want and deny whoever they want. It is so that they don’t have to deal with immature teens partying, wrecking the place, and/or disturbing other guests.
Answer by itchiannaI do not know the hotels of which you speak, but on average, a hotel with a bar increases minimum age to meet the drinking age.
