: How much sleep should I get before an exam?
I have an exam two days from now, and am wondering how much sleep I should get. I hear that you shouldn’t stray too far from your normal sleeping schedule, but what happens if (like in my case) you usually only get 4-6 hours of sleep per night. Also, how long should I be up for before the exam?
Bonus: What should I eat before the exam, plus any other helpful tips.

Try 8 hours and about 2 hours before the exam
7-8hours. Just stay away from junk food and relax. The more u worry the more chances u get of making a mistake. Make sure to eat breakfast.Answer by Hannah Moy
Ok so 4-6hrs sleep is never advised. Judging that you are either in high school or university (college) you should be getting between 8 and 11 hours sleep. Sleep is a necessary part of life and helps with memory and learning. I would advise being up a few hours before the exam so you are awake and alert, it also allows for some revising or practicing for the exam. Certain foods can and will have positive effects on the brain, so any food that is high in protein and/or vitamins is suggested. Some such foods are eggs, milk, leafy vegetables, meat etc…
Hope this helps, good luck on your exam.
