Andrew: How much schooling in necessary to become a Geometry teacher?
I need to know just how many years are necessary to become a teacher of geometry. I need a website or source of information. It doesn’t matter which level of teaching, but I prefer high-school level geometry.

BA minimum. MA preferred.
A B.S.Ed in Secondary Mathematics Education.
A B.A. and M.A. will not get you certification. Maybe emergency certification, or a job teaching at a community college. The Standard degree for teachers though is the B.S.Ed. (or B.Ed. at some universities, Bachelor of Education… though some schools offer M.A.T. degrees if you want a Master’s degree before you start teaching)
