anon009988: How much is reasonable Graduate salary for Computing degree?
I’ve just graduated with a BSc Computing, calss 2:1 and have no idea what my expected salary should be.
I don’t want to end up getting paid less than I’m worth, and i don’t want to be too pushy and say something ridiculously high.
Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks

It really depends on your country as well as where you live in that country.More information, tips and help at

Realy, just having a degree doesn’t make you worth much, it just allows you to find a job…
Just having a regular computing degree, I would say the minimum you should expect is $ 45,000 or so. Maybe as low as $ 40,000. Now, if you have prior work experience, such as an internship, or something else that relates to your major, then what you can earn is much higher… anywhere from $ 50,000 to maybe $ 70,000. A friend of mine was offered $ 83,000 after graduation (BS in Computer Science, slightly different degree, but similar).
In the end, work experience is what matters over education. But, education is what allows you to get work experience, so you do need a degree…
