How much is bass guitar really different from regular guitar? Like if you play one, how much harder would it be to play the other?

i think bass to guitar would be harder cuz bass is usually for back up unless ur amazing at it like rob cliff and that one guy from this band i forgot but he amazing

Bass follows the BEAT of the song, not the melody.
Im not sure which is easier/harder.
Answer by Calebwell usually, in most styles and songs the bass will be simpler than the guitar, but often it would be harder to play a certain piece on bass than guitar. I’ve found that bass is easier to play in most cases although there are some astounding bass players out there. Bass is also usually slower (not always, as in Iron Maiden) and never plays chords.Answer by Treble
on guitar you have to be accurate and precise bass not so much thats the basic premise but depending on how plan to play can create alot of differences
