: R&P Prog Lovers! What do you all think of Amplifier’s newest album, The Octopus?
I personally believe this album to be a stellar, landmark achievement by the band. The Octopus is definitely among my top 15 albums of 2011, but.. well, yeah, it’s not overly spectacular, but it certainly is pleasing to the ears – that is, if you enjoy the type of music Amplifier puts out.
Now, because of the lack of responses yesterday, I’ve decided to tune it down a little. I’m going back to my little “band of the day” questions. Today’s band is Amplifier!
Amplifier – “Planet of Insects”
Amplifier – “The Octopus”
Amplifier – “Trading Dark Matter on the Stock Exchange” <- I really enjoy this title. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDjZ9oMVcVQ&feature=channel_video_title The album contains two CDs, the three songs posted above all being from merely the first. The album has a total of 16 songs, all uploaded on my YouTube Channel. https://www.youtube.com/user/TheProgressiveSheep?feature=mhee MQ: Opinion of Amplifier's newest album (given the samples, or if you've listened to it before) MQ2: Favorite Amplifier album? MQ3: Enjoy what you've been presented with? MQ4: Enjoy anything else on my YouTube Channel? (Link above) BQ: The thermonuclear cheese residing within the miniscule, obscure fabrics of the dissipating time-space-continuum seem to want me to eat them. What ever shall I do? BQ2: You've crash landed onto the desolate planet of Infinicheese. You are lactose intolerant. There is no food, no beings, not ANYTHING, other than cheese, on this planet. What would you do to survive?! You can't eat cheese, you'd die. BQ3: Favorite song with a food in the title? I'm also in the process of uploading Neal Morse's latest album, "Testimony 2", if you're interested in that as well. Fantastic prog. Answers and Views:
