None, fast food is for ugly nasty obese people. I don’t eat that garbage. Americans probably spend at least $ 500 a year on it I would guess.

my family rarely eats fastfood, there are 9 of us and that is too expensive to do on a regular basis. I would say we probably spend about $ 300-$ 350 a year. that is everyone eating off the dollar menu once a month.
but i have a friend who spends probably $ 1600.-$ 2000. a year for her family of 5. they eat fastfood at least twice a week.

Answer by Mama P
I would say about $ 60 a year for fast food. Considering we are a family of 4 that isn’t too shabby. The circumstances that generally bring us to that point is moving or long trips (driving). I personally have a hard time eating it myself. My stomach gets upset. Typically when on the road I prefer to stop at an actual restaurant or deli if possible.

I’m really not sure about what the average american family spends a year on fast food but given the statistics on obesity and the amount of consumers those places get on average I’d have to assume too much. =)

The average American family spend a lot of money on fast food. The average spending per person in a year is: $ 1200-$ 1500. The total spending depends on the number of people in a family.
