I have no idea, but bank teller is a GREAT job. I worked at a credit union and started at like 8 an hour, but that was six years ago. The best part is no working Sundays or any holidays! If you still can, shop around for a job. Some banks close early! Some offer super benefits. My CU gave everyone that worked there a CRUISE the first year I worked for them. Those bennys died off of course. Now you get a free turkey :::eyerolls::: like two days before Thanksgiving…when everyone has one already. lol But it was a GREAT job. Customers give you a lot of respect you don’t normally get at say, a fast food job. Because you know everything about THEIR MONEY. lol

They typically don’t start at much. The hourly rate can range anywhere from $ 8-10 dollars depending on where you are located (cost of living). It is at the bottom of the totem pole. Although in the banking industry, they will typically promote from within. So if you grind it out for a year or so, you will definitely move up the ranks.
I just started at US bank and teller 1s in my area start at 9.50 and I live in the country. In the city they start at about 11.50 and this in Oregon. My sis in law is in Cali and started at $ 12.50 about 10 years ago in Oakland..so it just all depends on your location.Answer by nigel
anywhere from 8-12 dollars, but make sure you try to get on the high end because tellers usually dont get very great raises
