Motels are about $ 50 a night. Go to www.hotels.com and search by the city you want to stay in. You may also want to also look into hostels. Some cities have decent ones and they generally cost about $ 25.
Also it is important to pay attention where these places are located, especially if you don’t have a rental car because some places aren’t located near any form of public transportation.
Answer by DTBBetween $ 30-$ 50 a night. You get what you pay for at American motels. Most are quite disgusting. Oh, and bring your own comforter/duvet. American motels only wash the sheets and pillowcases on beds after every guest. Pretty nasty, but it keeps their costs down.
You’re probably not going to get any cooking facilities for that amount of money. Maybe a microwave/fridge combo if you’re “lucky.”
Keep track of how many of those motels are owned by a “Patel” family.
It’s bizarre.

I just moved from New Jersey to Portland Oregon via car. I got a book called Cheap Sleeps.
It’s a guide that gives a list of motels that are typically $ 50 or less. Say you want to stay in Ashville North Carolina, You go to the North Carolina section of the book, then go to Ashville. It tells you what amenities are provided. Sometimes, motels are more expensive during the weekend or special events or holidays, or just because of the location (major cities for example), but it usually notes that. It provides a phone number and if I remember correctly, an address.
I also recommend getting AAA. Some motels give you a discount if you present the card.Answer by mikeaeli
I assume you’re planning to travel through Washington State, Utah/Colorado, and Florida again. I would suggest staying at the dingy $ 25 roach-motels, if you’re planning on not getting arrested & executed this time arround.
