Katherine L: How many university level credits do I need in high school to be accepted to University in the fall?
I am a high school student in Ontario, and I’m wondering how many university level credits I need in high school to get into University in the fall? I’ve heard 6, but I’m not sure if it’s 6 between grade 11 and 12 or if it’s 6 just in grade 12. Any ideas? My guidance counselor is an idiot and has no idea.

you don’t need any credits to be accepted to university.
However having such credits helps show that you already are capable to handle a college course as a student and that you are more worthy to be accepted compared to the next applicant. It’s a competition…
So the harder you try, the better your application will look. On the other hand, if you have something else you are passionate about that accounts for your time that you can show through your extracurriculars or personal statement, that is just as good.
