how do universities, like jagiello and the university of warsaw compare to american universities?

Joe J: how do universities, like jagiello and the university of warsaw compare to american universities?
For example is the university of warsaw as good as yale university, better, or a little below?

Both are fine, historic, universities. But they suffered from a half century of first German occupation and then Communism. They are certainly not on par with a top-tier US university such as Yale.
