Crystal Rose: How many semesters at a 4 year college does it take to get a Bachelors degree in engineering?
After you take your prep classes at a 2 year college for engineering, then how many semesters will it probably take to finish studying engineering at a 4 year college? Assuming you take an average course load at both the 2 year college before transferring and then an average course load at a 4 year college after coming from the 2 year college? Referring to any kind of engineering, pick your favorite?

Its only a question on what credits will transfer (the credit transfers will be dependent on the courses you took for the most part). Some college are very lenient with transfer credits while other colleges don’t allow many credits to transfer over. For example, if they are both from state schools, then most of them would transfer. Overall, you would need to discuss this with the 4 year college you plan on going to. But I would say the maximum amount of time it would take would be 10 semesters (assuming spring and fall semesters only), and a minimum of 8 semesters. I am also assuming that you are taking the standard amount of workload for an engineer (16-18 credits/semester).
Additionally, the more general the courses are you took at the 2 year school the more likely they are to transfer. General chemistry from one college will likely transfer to another college since they would likely have very similar material (same with calculus, general physics, economics, etc.).
Hope this helps!
