Don DeVaughn: What class in colleges teaches about sexual orientation or identity?
I am currently enrolling in community college and am looking for a class that deals primarily with sexual orientation, sexual identity, and/or societal norms or perspective (for a lack of better words lol) about certain sexualities such as homosexuality. Is it human sexuality or something else? I always assumed human sexuality was about sex rather than orientation or identity.

Sounds like a sociology or psychology course. I suggest you read the course description (available in the course catalog) and ask upperclassmen to find out what the course actually covers. Human sexuality will likely address sexual orientation, but if you want a class that solely focuses on that, you may want something like “Sexual Orientation in Society”.
I think you are looking for a “Gender Studies” class. Indiana University, home of the Kinsey Institute, offers a Gender Studies major.
