elle: How many people here are getting and making thoughtful gifts this Christmas?
Christmas has become so consumer based.Does anyone else here make gifts and/ get thoughtful gifts for others instead of joining the rat race in the scram for bargains?

I’m a photographer, and many of my gifts revolve around my photos. We also host exchange students each year and I try to get gifts for them that symbolize their year here.

I do not celebrate holidays, however I have family that do. I usually call them and tell them how much I love & miss them and that I am hoping they are having a great holiday.

my oldest daughter (shes ten) just learned to sew a little, so she is stitching her sister’s name on some cloth and going to frame it for her for a Christmas present.
