uhm well it varies so i’m thinking
5 isn’t enough so..
i’m thinking 7-10 gifts should be great then he’ll have plenty to play with
Quality weighs more than quantity but you can go overboard that way too by getting things that are too expensive or above his age level.
At age 3, he’s probably going to get so many gifts from relatives that he won’t know how many you’re giving him – or care or even think about it, so long as what you do give him are things that you know he will love to play with.
Don’t set the bar so high that you’re trying each year constantly to do more; it will set you up for financial ruin and a child who feels entitled and might become materialistically manipulative.
Give him 3 or 4 good quality age-appropriate toys, maybe one of which is a little up-scale, but be sure they’re things he’ll like. He will NOT at his age focus on the quantity or the price range; he’ll focus on the fun and wow factor.

Instead of focusing on the number of gifts focus on how much you want to spend and don’t go over that. You can spend over $ 200 and only by 1 gift or you can spend $ 200 and have 30+ gifts.Answer by live_love_laugh098
Think about how much money you want to spend. Also he will probably only think about the fun/interesting part of the gifts, not the amount you give him, so instead of thinking about giving him aton of presents get him like 5-10 presents that he will like, keep interest in for a while, and will have fun with !
