this varies tremendously. typically, teenagers require more calories than most anyone. boys more than girls. and if you’re athletic, it can easily go up to 3000 or so per day. the average i believe is just around 2300 to 2500. there are very good calorie calculators on the web. google and try a few, then average the numbers. also, there the cronometer you can download. you can track your calories, fat, sodium, protein and vitamins. it’s important to eat as much for nutrition as for calories.

It varies according to body size and gender, but somewhere between 1600-2400 is a good range. What’s more important is not just the calories but what the calories consist of. You can have one double quarter pounder extra value meal or a whole day’s worth of veggies, fruits, whole grains, and lean meats for about the same calories. depends on if its a girl or boy
how tall they are, how active they are
and what their basal metabolic rate is..
usually somewhere around 2000 calories
(thats for girls)
but that would be somewhat active

HMis very broad question you are asking. Everyone needs different amounts of calories. For example, I am 5′ 7″ and weigh about 128lb (first time ever… i publish my weigh in public…n it’s embarrassing). I eat about 1,2000 everyday.

The key point of loosing weight (if you are asking this for loosing weight) is not numbers. It is how well you take care yourself and how fit your shape is. To obtain healthy life, sleep right, cut all the junk foods or dinning out, and be more active. I do not do any exercises but maintaining my weigh because I do not eat 4hrs before go to bed, yes it is hard.. so i just don’t eat any after 6p.m. Never skip breakfast. When you are hungry and try to go get food. Instead of walk why don’t you listen to music and start dance around little bit? it increases amount of calories you use.
