mcz06c: How many americans are injured or die on vacations each year?
Any information regarding number of US deaths or injuries while taking vacations, honeymoons, retirement trips, spring breaks…any trip of at least a few hundred miles. I am looking for good stats and perhaps dollar figures that it would cost should an unfortunate event occur. PLEASE HELP!!

I have no idea but I’m always hearing about people who’ve died in car wrecks or while hiking in the mountains here in East TN…just a week or so ago there was a ohio teen killed in a car wreck south of Knoxville…but sorry I can’t give you a better answer. Most of the people who die in the mountains are from big cities up north who have no idea what the hell they’re doing and don’t belong there in the first place.
I think it would be impossible to determine the figures re how many.
Don’t forget there are also work/holiday trips, trips that might only be 100 miles for a weekend break, people visiting family in another state who certainly wouldn’t call it a holiday…….
