It’s hard to say. The people who are defending themselves against Gaddafi haven’t been able to push Gaddafi’s forces back far enough. Thanks to the help of NATO, Gaddafi’s forces are no longer advancing on the people of Libya, but they’re still trying. Right now there’s a stalemate. Negotiations are impossible because Gaddafi cannot be trusted. Gaddafi could go into exile, but it doesn’t look like that will be happening any time soon. There was a lot of hope that Gaddafi’s regime would become weak and crumble, which it is, but it isn’t happening as fast as many hoped. This could be over tomorrow or it could last years.
