Holly Marie: How long should I wait to start lyrical after starting ballet?
I’m already 16, and I’m starting ballet soon. I am really interested in jazz and lyrical. I know for lyrical you need to have ballet and some jazz. Would I be able to take ballet and automatically take a lyrical class, or should I wait?

You should probably take a few ballet lessons first, just so that you’ll be familiar with the terms used in almost every type of dance. Over all, just have fun! Good Luck!
if you take beginner youll be fine.
theyll explain everything very well and they will help you.

I am currently doing hip hop and jazz and fell in love with lyrical after the recital. I wanted to take it but was told you need ballet first just like you said. At my school they will allow us to do both at the same time so I’m going to do that. I would ask the school if you can take lyrical at the same time or would you need to wait and then decide what to do.
