m: How long does a cartilage piercing take to heal?
I’m thinking about getting my cartilage pierced, but school’s starting up again soon, which means Field Hockey is too. I’m pretty sure I can’t wear earrings during a game, but just to be sure, I don’t want to risk the piercing closing up. How long do they usually take to heal?
Okay , yeah I probably will wait until the seasons over.

cartilage doesn’t need time to heal, its like thin paper-bone. It wont bleed or anything so go right ahead. it may get a bit pus-like from the blood that your skin can create but that’s about it, so no worries.

I think Neda is a fast healer … mine took 6 months. You might want to wait until after the season … if someone knocks into that piercing it’s gonna hurt like a b*tch.

They could take up to a year to properly heal!

4-6 weeks, It’s best to wait the 6 though. Please don’t change it know like they are saying it’s okay, It’s not. It could get infected, and they grow back incredibly fast. So Just wait the 6 weeks.
