I’m a college graduate, who smarts off to customers? I show up every time I’m scheduled to work and do my job. We’re always short of people, particularly reliable people that actually care enough to show up… Anyway, I think its out of line that people talk down to me because I work in fastfood. When I was on the other side of the counter as a customer, I was always very polite to the workers.

Just keep doing whatever you want there. You can get another job. Maybe a better job but at least another job at some other fast food restaurant. And as a manager, since you have a degree.

yes, i work in fast food also, im polite when i go out. You will always have ass holes every where you go! Im usually not straight up rude to them, but i do really try to make them feel stupid about how rude they are being. If your good with your boss and he/she likes you a lot then you should be fine, but if the customer goes to your boss and complains and yall dont have a very good relationship, the outcome may not be very good! But dont let them get to you, just let it roll off your back!

You can be fired for that. If you do your job like you are supposed to, and suck up to customers, then maybe you can be a manager.

Lots of places will hire you for a management position if you have a college degree. Maybe you should try to find those places.

It’s a vicious cycle, people take crap they don’t deserve and dish out crap to those who don’t need it. They think they have a right to be rude because they gave you money… Just ignore them, smile and collect their tips.
