debodun: How long after Christmas should radio stations keep playing Christmas music?
The station I listen to most started a 100% Christmas music format on December 10th, but after the 5 PM news on Christmas Day, they reverted to their regular format. That seemed a little too soon as Christmas Day wasn’t over. Even today some other stations are still playing Christmas music intermittently.

If public buildings aren’t allowed to display a nativity scene, why should radio stations be allowed to play Xmas music? They are forcing a viewpoint of a few people on the general public. Radio stations shouldn’t play ANY Xmas music!
Generally today, most radio station stop playing Christmas carols after the ( what they call) feast of three kings. To them, these feast concludes the celebration.Answer by That Girl

Most stations that play a music format in my locale have what I term “36 hours of Christmas”. They play Christmas music exclusively from noon on Christmas eve until midnight on Christmas night, then return to their regular programming. That seems about right to me.Answer by doylescordy
Our radio stations stopped their Christmas music at midnight as soon as Christmas ended, but I noticed today that our main Christian music station is still mixing a few stray Christmas songs in with their regular format.
I think it’s fine until New Years, because it is still considered the holiday season.
