The French and Indian War was actually between Britain and France. The war was called the Seven Years War in Britain. The war was held in colonial grounds; therefore, after the war the British imposed taxes on the colonists to help pay for the debts caused by the war. This angered the colonists because they did not have a say on whether or not they should be taxed, even though in Britain the British people have been paying heavier taxes for the War.Yet, if the colonists did have representatives in Britain over taxes the colonists would have lost because it would have been 25% colonists versus the 75% British.
