: How is it possible that most people convert to Islam after reading the Quran?
This is something I can’t find logic behind. I’ve recently stopped insulting Islam as I found myself acting emotionally rather than logically when I insult Islam.

Anyway, How is it possible that most people convert to Islam after reading the Quran?

Logical answers please. No childish insults, thank you.

they use the tool called ‘fear’ and they basically lure you into the ‘feel good’ aspect of their religion…. its manupulative and people fall for it. simple.

I have read the Quran and know a few people who have read it as well. I have not converted to Islam and neither have the others. I have also read the Bible and the Book of Mormon but have not become Jewish, Christian or Mormon from doing so. I am just a well informed atheist.

I believe it is normally by birth they must embrace Islam, and by force if it is about conversion. And, there is a strict law of coercion for any apostasy. Thus, overall is by force. Just the same with how it got spread in the first place, through wars and domination in the 7th century.

Do you prefer the majority? Israel is NOT the biggest nation, only the chosen, but a minority. Have you ever heard of the Marines being just: “A few good men”? You dont want logic, you want an endorsement. Jesus (pbuh) says: Strait is the gate which leads unto life…and few there be who find it”.
Read the Quran? Why would anyone read a book which declares that Allah (pbuh) CANNOT have a Son? He can do ANYTHING He chooses to do. Get over it. Its one of the benefits of being God, lol

I didn’t, I was doing the late Roman empire at college and read it to try and understand what motivated them to invade the Byzantine and Persian empires. Found that most of it was gibberish homilies.

Every verse is full of wisdom and logical. for example:
(38:28) Shall We then treat alike those that believe and act righteously and those that create mischief on earth? Or treat alike the God-fearing and the wicked?
(38:29) This is a highly blessed Book, which We have sent down to you , so that these people may ponder over its verses and the men of understanding may learn lessons from it.

I will give you one more example:
(10:4) To Him is your return.1 This is Allah’s promise that will certainly come true. Surely it is He Who brings about the creation of all and He will repeat it2 so that He may justly reward those who believe and do righteous deeds; and that those who disbelieve may have a draught of boiling water and suffer a painful chastisement for their denying the truth.3
(10:5) He it is Who gave the sun radiance and the moon light, and determined the stages (for the waxing and waning of the moon) that you may learn the calculation of years and the reckoning of time. Allah has created all this with a rightful purpose (rather than out of play). He expounds His signs for the people who know.
(10:6) Surely in the alternation of the night and the day and in all that Allah has created in the heavens and the earth there are signs for the people who seek to avoid (error of outlook and conduct).4

1. This is the second basic principle of the teachings of every prophet; “You shall have to return to your Lord and render an account of all you did in this world.” The first principle has been stated in the preceding verse: “Allah alone is your Lord: therefore worship Him only.

2. This sentence contains both a statement and its proof. The statement is, “Allah will again bring to life all human beings,” and the proof is, “This is as easy for Allah as it was to create them first. ” The one who acknowledges that Allah has originated all creation (and who can deny this except those atheists who accepted the absurd theory of “Creation without a Creator” merely to get a plea for discarding the religion of the Christian clergy?) cannot consider this as impossible or irrational.

3. The reason why Allah will again bring the whole mankind to life is to reward the believers and to punish the disbelievers. After showing that this is possible to raise the dead, it is stated that it is absolutely necessary to fulfill the demands of common-sense and justice, for full justice cannot be done without this. Common-sense and justice demand that those who believe and do righteous deeds should be given their full rewards, and those who disbelieve and reject the Truth and do evil deeds, should be duly punished. As every sensible and just person knows that this demand of justice is not fulfilled in its entirety, and cannot be fulfilled in this world, it is absolutely essential that the whole of mankind should again be brought to life for this purpose.

4. This is the third argument in proof of the doctrine of the life in the Hereafter. It is based on Allah’s manifestations in the heavens and on the earth. The greatest and most manifest of these are the sun, the moon and the alternation of the night and day, for these are ever present before each and every human being. All these clearly show that the Creator of this great and vast universe is not a child who has made all this for mere fun and will break it up when he is satiated with it. These manifestations of His are a clear proof of the fact that the Creator is All-Wise, for there is a system, a wisdom, a design and a serious object in each and every particle of His creation. These seem, as it were, to say. “When you yourselves learn from the signs and manifestations of His wisdom that He is All Wise, how can you, then, expect that He will not call man to account after granting him common-sense, moral feelings, independent responsibility and authority to exploit His endless resources, and that He will not reward those who make the right use of these and punish those who abuse them?”

Thus, it has become obvious that in vv. 4-6, three arguments have been given in their logical order to present the doctrine of the Hereafter:

(1) The fact of the origination of life in this world is a proof that life in the Next World is also possible.
(2) There must be life in the Hereafter, because it is essential for the recompense of the deeds that one does, and of the use or abuse one makes of the moral responsibilities that have been entrusted to man. Therefore, it is the demand of common-sense and justice that there must be another world in which one should bear the consequences of one’s deeds, for this is not possible in this world.
(3) When common-sense and justice demand that there must be life in the Hereafter, this need will surely be satisfied, for the Creator of man and the universe is All-Wise, and it cannot be conceived that the All-Wise will not satisfy the demands of common-sense and justice.

I think they stopped seeing it as the “QUR’AN” that Islamic book. and read it as it is.

I don’t think people “converted”… I think they just connected to what is being said in it. And it spoke to them. I don’t think people convert for no reason. Or necessarily convert because they’ve been looking for something. I think for some people, they read the Qur’an and they immediately can see and can relate to what is being said. They feel a personal connection. There are many non Muslims like Prince Charles, who read the Qur’an, connect with it, appreciate it, but are not Muslims. Karen Armstrong and Paulo Coelho too. I think for those people who choose to embrace Islam, after that connection with the book, they just just feel compelled and it makes sense to take that experience a step further. Usually people take on the Islamic way of life.. meaning doing good deeds, observing speech, manners, the way you dress, purity of heart, 5 times a day prayer, charity, pilgrimage, the declaration of faith, fast for the rest of their life because for them, it has reached the point where it’s the most logical next step to do, and to not do it, they feel that they have denied themselves of something meaningful.

Quran is full of knowledge and meanings if you read it i’m sure you will understand that meaning.
i dont know if it is true or false but only god has the power to do anything. if you don’t want to be a muslim then don’t be, respect our islam.

DON’T listen to what I’ve seen some others say. I am a true muslim and I can tell you.

People do NOT have to be born Muslim to be one.
In fact converts usually become better Muslims than people that were born thus.
My mother converted to Islam and says that she found logic and wisdom in the Qur’an.
Understand it properly and you feel emotional.

We believe that the Qur’an is a book descended by god so it is, of course sacred.
People have tried imitating its verses and none have succeeded, which is why they have become attached to it, and have become Muslim.

The qur’an completely fails to mention the big bang, how planets form, evolution, abiogenesis, nucleosynthesis, a round earth, the utter falsehood of the geocentric model, elliptical orbits, gravity, cells, thought occurring in the brain, bacteria, dinosaurs, black holes, eventual star death, the eventual heat death of the universe, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, electricity, DNA, the atom ETC. ETC. And any attempts it makes at any scientific concept, it completely botches seeing as its authors could only help themselves from the limited pool of knowledge of their time. Which was 1400 YEARS AGO. It definitely shows.

Because when people read the Quran they find out what Islam is really about, it’s a religion of love, of peace, it’s also a way of life just try and read the quran maybe you will understand.
