LO: How is a religion responsive to the full range of intellectual and spiritual development within its society?
According to Maimonides, the Messianic Era can come about naturally, with no recourse to miracles, by means of religions that instill the moral and political virtues that are required to overcome the evils that make human life so full of suffering. Yet, in his discussion of the Doctrine of Creation, Maimonides claims that religion would be impossible without belief in miracles. How does the tension between these claims resolved through religion.

There is no tension, once you understand what the purpose of eternal life is which is already within each of us by the “inner being” in us all that is created in the image and likeness of the Living God. Faith and understanding of the supernatural would be so easy to understand if BELIEVERS simply obeyed Scripture FIRST and just kept their mouths SHUT and obeyed and did a bit of thinking. Scripture says, “Seek ye FIRST the Kingdom of God.” Which I know according to Scripture is in the EAST, in Heaven and in the eternal future. Simply said, the Kingdom of Christ expects INDIVIDUALS to PROVE their faith by purposing to walk and led EAST in their heart daily with focus and attention on the invisible Kingdom of Christ. This is especially true for the male as it is “his seed” that he leads either toward and into the eternal Kingdom of Christ which east leading is by the Holy Spirit or he leads his ‘seed’ west to live natural life born of the flesh and thus leads his seed and this is generational straight into hell. It is really that simple as the Kingdom of Christ is on the opposite side of the actual cross that He was crucified upon and this side is controlled by the God of this world whose best weapon is keeping the Kingdom of Christ in darkness and out of the mind of people.
That’s the problem with adoring a man instead of God. Maimonides was not God and he got (more than) a few things wrong. Religion is man’s response to God. It does not have to respond to a full or small range of intellectual anything. Spiritual development is the growth of goodness inside of humans and what groups they belong to. Putting anyone’s teachings/writings up near Moses’ is a very dangerous thing. Maimonides was not God’s prophet.Answer by Shlomo
The messianic era comes with the Messiah, not with Maimonides.
