nathan f: How does someone become a paid responder on Yahoo politics?
Supposedly up to 40% of the total and almost all “top contributor” responders on Yahoo politics are paid to give answers. Who pays them and how do you get the job?

You get top contributor when your % of best answers crosses a threshold. At times, I’ve gotten it for different categories, and I’m not paid anything.
Probably doesn’t pay much.Answer by Reality has a Liberal Bias
I’d love to know — this volunteer work is killing me. Please pass it on when you find out.Answer by Willis Jeffords
supposedly… how?
seriously, where did you hear that?
It doesn’t seem worth anyone’s money to pay people to answer questions on this site. Who would it benefit? Maybe for some categories, but definitely not politics.
Answer by Stephanie..is still judging you! It’d be pretty freaking sweet I know that.
The top contributor badge is meaningless, it doesn’t have to do with a percentage of Best Answers it has to do with how active you are in a certain time period, and the B/A’s you get in that time period. I’ve waited weeks before answering just to lose it and then see how quickly it comes back several times, that seems to be it.
Answer by BeachBumThat’s not true. I was the lead answerer of the Politics and Government category and several subsections like Politics, Government, etc… for over 2 years. I was never paid a cent. This is a myth.
Now with that said, I would not be surprised if some political parties didn’t pay ppl to post propaganda… but as I stated before, I was never paid by anyone.
Oh and I wanted to add, those guys at the top now, I’ve been watching most of them close… seems most cheat during voting. That is something I refused to do. I mean seriously, it’s pretty pathetic if you feel you need to lose your integrity and use multiple accounts to win an answer on Answers… truly pathetic.
