Ire: How does religion affect your opinions of others?
How does your religion (or atheism, or whatever system of belief you follow) affect your opinions your opinion of other people? Do you feel a different way towards those sharing your belief and those with different ones? Do you pre-judge by religion, and if you do, to what extent?

well first of all, i am a christian, and i don’t think that my religion affects my opinion of others too terribly much..
if i met a nice person that wasn’t of christ, i would pray for them and try to bring them to christ. I have respect for everyone, christian or not.
I’m really glad to say that I avoid any religion that dictates how to feel about ‘worldly nonbelievers’. I spent the first 20 years of my life as a Jehovah’s Witness believing that any unbeliever or ex-Witness was ‘of the devil’ and none of them could be my friends unless I wanted to be known as ‘one of them’.
Whenever I go to a church that talks about how the non christians have it out for them, I have to laugh and wonder if it’s the same in all churches. It makes me feel bad that all those people in the JW kingdom hall thinking I’m evil and living a messed up life just because I don’t want to be ‘one of them’.
Answer by ?I am not religious. I judge people for how they act, not their religion. While i think religion has caused more harm than good overall, i respect people who are religious and have many close friends that are religious. I think it is unfair that anyone should be judged because of their religion or lack thereof. I think one of the thing that turn me off religion is the fact that there are so many variations, and I dont want to subscribe to the christian belief that all other no of “my” religion go to hell. If you want to hear how religion is negatively impacting society search “pat condell” on youtube. That said, of course I know many religious people do good deeds as well.Answer by Greywolf
I don’t judge anyone based only on their choice of religion.
I do judge them for how they practice it in terms of interaction with others.
The belief that everyone that doesn’t follow your religion should convert or die, or that everyone should follow your particular beliefs whether they like it or not through the imposition of laws.
If you want to sacrifice Hershey bars to the marshmallow god, I’m fine with that as long as you don’t try to force me to eat smores every Friday.
