mrbaker1917: How does one raise peace-loving, active, happy children in a society saturated in violence and mass-marketing?
Full question (would not fit): How does one raise peace-loving, active, happy children in a society filled with violence, commercialism, tv, and marketing, when they are exposed to these things at every turn? My wife and I are basically finding it very difficult to do this and are looking for others who share the goal and have developed some ways to deal with this.

When you figure it out let me know.
I think the only thing you can do is raise your child with your values and teach them right from wrong continue to be a good person and they will follow.Answer by l j
you can only instill the values you have and teach them that what is going on in the world can only be changed by those who want change, teach them equality and good common sense, allow them to have opinions and ask for their opinions, allow them to see that there is good in all and it is only the few that make it bad for others, discuss the things that bother you and have open discussions with your children when ever you can about anything.Answer by Stein Smith
Private school and get rid of the TV. You don’t have to have a TV. You don’t have to bring them to McDonald’s or Burger King. Instead of Disney, go to Europe or South America over the summer. Culture your children!! They need to know about violence and commercialism so it’s not a shock when they become free from their parents.
Good luck!
