Humm….in theatre, you have to maximise all your emotions and expressions…coz your target is to reach every single person in the audience, irrespective of the distance between you and him/her…….but in cinema, the camera is the audience….you have to set your performance depending upon the type of the shot (close-up/medium/wide/long)
secondly, theatre needs a little louder voice, so that you reach the microphone(catchers)…..but in cinema, the boom mic will definitely catch you….you get the option of dubbing too
Theatre is challenging….as you need to give your 100% in a single shot……no chance of ‘take 2’…..you need to memorise all the dialogues too 🙂
for a dance performance, you should not stand in the same place throughout the performance, but should cover the maximum portion of the stage…
if you watch Indian movies, then you already know that an actor has to do some dance performances in the movie too 🙂
Answer by vergavibrarLive theatre is ALL TAKE AND NO MISTAKE.. while the cinema is done in a series of takes and can be redone if there is a mistake.
