kaykay: How do you usually go about your Christmas shopping?
I’m just curious. Do you like to ask people exactly what they want and get it for them, or browse around to find something that you think will be perfect? When do you usually begin your shopping and where? Do you do it all at once or a little at a time? Who do you usually buy for and how much do you spend on each gift? Happy Hollidays!

For my immediate family I make something, then my whole family buys something for everyone else.
I start the day after Thanksgiving and do a combination of online and in-store shopping. I make a list of people I have to get gifts for, and get them things both from their lists and things I just know they’ll enjoy.
I usually try and finish a week before Christmas b/c close to Christmas I like to buy food to make for parties and Christmas Eve.
For example, here’s what I got my best friend this year (we always get each other five things):
-Jewelry (she asked for jewelry so I got her earrings and a necklace)
– A movie called the Fox and the Child (she loves foxes and animal movies)
-World Wildlife Federation Adopt a Fox Program (Again, she loves foxes and it’s different)
-A novel that retells the Ballad of Mulan (her favorite poem/story)
-A fox ornament (Again with the foxes.)
I don’t usually give gifts, so if i do, i make sure i know the person very well. I am thinking of giving them something useful. IT doesn’t matter if the gift is sentimental of not. i just buy them something they need. Say, my father loves eating so i am spotting a running watch for i believe the needs it. BTW here is a good review: .
so, i suggest you give something they need not just something that would remind you to them. Remember, you are giving not campaigning.
