How do you use the imaginary number “i” in excel?

Katya: How do you use the imaginary number “i” in excel?
Using “=COMPLEX(0,1,”i”)” I have made the function “i” on excel. However I am unable to square it to make the function “i^2=-1” or use “exp()^(i*PI())=-1.” I want to use both of these functions in a portfolio I am doing. Please help. I will give best answer within 10 days (if the solution is provided.) Thank you!
