♥: How do you “train” sensitive ears to handle earrings again?
My ears have been sensitive ever since I got my first piercings, but I used to be able to wear anything without nickel. Now, pretty much anything makes them irritated, but I think this is probably because I haven’t worn earrings in a few years.
My friend says that by dealing with the reaction, you can sort of “train” your ears to gradually accept earrings again.
Any tips? I’m trying this with white gold studs right now, and she said you can slowly change how sensitive you are.

Buy the sensitive earrings.
Buuuut, I have the same problem.
I haven’t worn earrings in awhile and when
i wanted to wear diamonds my ears got irritated
which i thought was strange because i’ve worn
them before without any problem. But after awhile
the itchy stopped and it was all good.
i’ve been allergic to most earrings for a while… a trick is to paint the part that goes through your ear with clear nail polish (like 3 coats). sounds crazy, but i promise it works.Answer by day bid sue guy
mahli got a good point there. i was thinking of a plastic earing for a while, to keep your piercing hole open and get used to having something stuffed in there.
once the skin adjusted and closed all the possible pores in the pierce-hole, then you can try using the real thing.
Answer by KirbyishYou really can’t go wrong with surgical grade stainless steel, titanium, or glass.
EDIT: Yeah, nail polish is a terrible idea. So is plastic. Acrylic jewelry should not be worn long term.
